The Twenty Fifth Poem- The Peace In Letting Go

The Peace In Letting Go

May I be a little honest?
Why do you put such pressure on yourself?
When you are allowed to take a rest,
And the rest will take care by itself?

Carry on with it, with all your focus,
Give your best, and then let it go;
But please don’t let it make you serious,
Just let it happen, just let it flow.

Your worth doesn’t come from the outside,
Not from external praise or validation.
It has always been inside,
Waiting to be recognised, far past your frustration.

Take a risk and give it a shot,
Then sit back and relax, and watch;
After putting in all the effort you got,
Maybe not in the way you intended, but you’ll always go up a notch.

Controlling has never gotten us anywhere,
It is past ages since we’ve learned this lesson.
So I’m telling you this because I want to share,
That letting go will give you far more peace, than any calming session.

Look, wait, plan, and then start doing.
But if it doesn’t go as per your plan,
Just introspect and learn from the foregoing.
Then go at it again, believing more now that you can.

Even if you feel like you cannot stand tall,
Believe that you will break through it all;
’Cause at the end of the tumultuous fall,
You’ll realise that all is well, that all will be well.
