The Sixtieth Poem- Clearer Skies

Clearer Skies How far have I come From the scary nights To these starry skies And this magical glow? It feels like a decade past The bruises of the cold and the hot; Never had I fathomed That I’d suffer such a blow. They say “pain’s inevitable  But suffering’s optional”; But I didn’t know it, so I endured; And now I only see daylight ahead. Divine light encapsulates me, And the past feels far away; Leaving behind the less better days,  Now I go on, thoroughly done and dusted. Fresh air waits for me, And flowers greet me with their bloom; Wonder and joy embrace me once again, As I walk towards bliss with my hands free. -Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Fifty Fifth Poem- Five Seasons’ Greetings

Five Seasons’ Greetings From the moist ground, young seedlings emerge, And the prettiest of tulips and daffodils blossom; Fresh berries and cherries enjoy their prime,  As vibrance and lushness extend everywhere; Beautiful spring lovingly encapsulates one, In its pristine energy of rejuvenation. Summer sends the scorching Sun, Leading to beachy waves and memories of fun; Kids lining up at ice cream trucks for icy bites, All in all, enjoying the long holidays. Summer is hard but always memorable, For every summer has its own story to tell. Monsoon brings hearts to elation, As all pains are soothed to ease; Umbrellas and raincoats become steady companions, While soups and hot snacks make for soulful evenings. The sight, sound and smell of the rain  Perpetually bring relaxing comfort within. It’s the shedding season again; With the rustling of dry foliage and rustic hues, The earthy tones set mellow moods; Autumn exemplifies an essential transition, Reminding us that what is lost...

The Fifty Fourth Poem- Little Buddy

Little Buddy Sweet little buddy, Here’s a small poem From our filled hearts To your happy one. Little one with the sweetest smile, And eyes that gleam with joy, Aww, who does not wait to hear your talks? You are the one that delights our hearts. The smallest of your actions fascinate us, How come you’re growing so quickly? With you, we savour each moment, Your cuteness fills our daily bucket of enchantment. We always look forward to seeing you,  And dream about the chances of meeting you; And every time we see you, dear kiddo, You’ve learned something new. You show love in your own way, With your name-calls, gripping smile and charming gestures; You think of animals as your friends, And love saying that everything is green in colour. There’s none who’s not mesmerized by you, We love playing with and taking care of you; You fill our heart’s happy quotient, You are a God-gifted bundle of joy. Dear one, you are so loved and cared for, And protected by the highest power; I hope that on...

The Fifty First Poem- My Haven

My Haven I used to come here for peace, The green trees and the quiet breeze Bring back all the lost memories; Oh, if I start, I can never stop with the stories. This place was my sacred haven, So precious and love-laden. During moments of contentment as well as grief, This place comforted me with hugs of peace. I saw endless sunsets from here, I gleamed at the infinite stars from here; Whenever I needed to replenish my magic, Coming here would just do the trick. I thought of poems while sitting here, ’Cause this place to me was so dear; I found answers when I was desperate, I always felt a surge of power that seemed infinite. Visiting back today brought a few tears Of joy and longing for the previous years, The whispers of wind and the divine’s bliss Will forever be etched within me like chef’s kiss. My haven has witnessed transformative alchemies, It holds endless moments and memories That are eternally mine to relish; And to continue having this perpetual nostalgia is my forever wis...

The Fiftieth Poem- Jewel

Jewel I don’t feel like the same jewel anymore, I feel tarnished and broken to the core.  From the highest cloud, I came crashing onto the floor, Is there anything more left in me to explore? I don’t know if I am viewed the same now, Yet some good remarks I’ve upheld somehow; But the bitterness needs a taste as well, “The bitterness is what leads to the sweetness,” they tell. Time leads to precious tales, And the lessons lead to better sails, Leading me to be unapologetically brave,  As I bid farewell to this drenching wave. Providence has, for ages, been my saviour As I’m carried in divine arms like a soldier, With a love unquestionably abundant and deep, Unlike any treasure I could ever keep. After all, it seems my facets can be polished,  And I can be gracefully bejeweled and embellished. Well maybe I am still the irreplaceable jewel, That authentically sparkles on every level. -Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Forty Second Poem- Her

Her When the whole world praises her beauty, Only she knows the stories behind her scars, The things she goes through quietly, And the days she feels like she’s put behind bars. Sometimes she fakes a smile, For the sake of her and everyone else; She is appreciated for her unprecedented style, But who cares about the things she never tells? She wears her heart on her sleeve, She undoubtedly is an admiration; But would anyone really believe The life she lives behind people’s perception? She cares and she loves, She offers endless support without hesitation; But she also cries and questions Her worthiness despite the external perfection. She knows her scars mark her stories, They make up who she is; Despite all her glories, There is always more to who she is. -Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Fortieth Poem- Sorrow And Strength

Sorrow And Strength What do I tell myself, When the thought alone makes me cry, When the place reminds me of it, The grief that was witnessed by the midnights? How do I console myself? What words do I say to myself? When I uncontrollably burst out into tears, But try to restrict them to the edges of my pillow? Grief, fuelled by rage Caused due to deep hurt, Causes an ache in my heart, And the loop reiterates all over again. My mind says fine, now you can let go, And for a moment I think I can keep it all together; Then suddenly the feeling of angst comes back, With tears sticking down my eyes, I sob helplessly. The aftermath of my sorrow is always prayer; I realise I can convey my feelings to the higher power, So I pray, I say every bit I want to say, And slowly, bit by bit, my grief starts to fade away. I am aware that there’s always prayer, But I need to bawl my eyes out, To let go of withheld emotions, And pour back in my cup of optimism. For your smallest or deepest grief, Remember...

The Thirty Seventh Poem- Universe, My Friend

Universe, My Friend You’ve shown me miracles Oh Universe, show me them again; It’s been so long since I’ve had a taste, My tastebuds long for your sweet love again. It feels like long lost connection, I wish to hold your hand again; Show me your purest self, I’ll keep remembering you’re always there for me, again and again. I’ve had chaotic experiences, But still the end of the loop has led me back to you; I will never leave your shelter, Because you are my biggest protector. They say when you look for something, You will find it; I’ve done that by seeking your love, And I have experienced it unconditionally from you before . You gave me answers when I asked for them, You blessed me in ways I never asked, You always showed me signs when I looked for them, You always protected me in ways I never fathomed. My life is truly a blessing, Because I get to realise more of myself everyday; By believing more and having faith, Even in the dust, I find specks of miracles. - Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Thirty Fifth Poem- Precious People

Precious People💎 Treasure those people Who are gifted to you in life; Listen to the voice that is feeble, Whispering the words of the wise. God bless the beings Who are there for each other; Setting apart their life’s proceedings, They are present for another. God helps you through them In moments of despair; God makes you shine again ’cause of them, ’Cause they’re there and they always care. The ones who help us selflessly, Without asking for anything in return; The ones who reach out when we’re crying helplessly, Are the ones worth being valued a ton. In a world where genuineness is in dearth, It is comforting to see selfless people; They are unspoken gems on this earth, Always being there and helping us be stable. Lucky are those who have such people, cause they’re rare; I feel blessed to have mine in my life; The gems in my life know who they are, I am grateful for always having them by my side. They tell me when I go wrong, They always have the best intentions for me, They ...

The Thirty First Poem- Scarring Ridicule

Scarring Ridicule This feeling of shame, Of feeling exposed and blamed, It haunts me, day and night, I no more know what’s wrong or right. I did it out of confidence, But they compared it to a reference, Saying, “This pictures you in this way, So fix this, ’cause you have no other way.” My feelings are not considered, I feel my freedom of expression hindered. They are making me paint myself differently, Did I give them power over me indefinitely? We are in the modern world, Empowering ourselves to be bold. And there is a way to communicate, Dragging someone down has never proved effective to date. Be intentional in making people feel loved, Even if you think their ways are flawed. Because you love them for who they are, Your ridicule of them should not cause a scar. They say time will heal anything, I say a loved one’s words are what truly bring The feeling of acceptance and comfort, And the knowledge that you will never judge them, no matter what. - Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Twenty Second Poem- A Novice In Friendship

A Novice In Friendship I feel like an outsider; I want a company of pals. The thought of being the new one, Makes me feel dreadful. How should I talk? What should I say? Do they like me? Or are they simply tolerating me? What will it take, To be their friend? Should I lose myself, To become like them? I patiently try to find balance; Juggling with the right things to say, And protecting my peace of mind; Nevertheless, I hope to find a way. I respect them immensely, Cause they are undoubtedly amazing in their own way. But how to connect with them, and how to be with them, I don't know the sure shot way. So maybe I’ll just let the phase flow; Give up controlling and trying to be desperate; Cause I surely know for one, That the intentional ones will stay on forever. True friends, I will have so much to give them, Sunshine, hope, garden, and sunflowers. And I will have a lot to learn from them; And trust them, and love them, and be there for them. - Jaanvi Veluguleti

The Eighteenth Poem- Letter To My Best Friend

🧧 Letter To My Best Friend💛 “My dear best friend, Our friendship is a beautiful tale. Our love will be perennial till the end, It will forever continue to sail. I will remember the care you showed me, In random and in planned ways. I can talk anything with you and be free, Times with you are sunshine-filled days. My short best friend with a lovely smile, And eyes like stars that sparkle so bright. You’re the cutest pal with an admirable sense of style, I’m grateful for your love and your shining light. Moments with you are books of laughter, Fun times, late nights, and crazy talk. Party times were something else altogether, Our friends and we are perfectly fit folk. We created countless memories, We shared bittersweet experiences, We celebrated each other’s glories, Despite our circumstances, we will continue to take more such chances. Thank you for always being my true friend, Thank you for letting me be yours, Thank you for being a part of my life till the end, Thank you for painti...

The Thirteenth Poem- Grave Misconceptions

❌Grave  Misconceptions👎 You are not less than If you don't have shiny pennies, And you are not more than If you own all the gold and the buildings. It doesn't matter if you are helpless, Nor does it matter if you are completely in satisfaction; Even if you think your life is a mess, You are loved beyond your imagination. You matter in this world, Behold, every inch of you is perfect. You belong here, truth to be told; You deserve every ounce of respect. Thin or sleek doesn't give you shine; Fat or big doesn't make you sick; Tall or short, it's none's right to define; To make you feel weak, these mere words just seem to do the trick. Who said your appearance decides your worth? Who said these things to you that make you self-loath? These are just built up stories of the mouth, That continue to rip us off of our truth. But recognise that every being in this world is God sent; Forgive them, 'cause you too are His precious ensemble; Nothing in this world is p...

The Eleventh Poem- Through The Stars

✦★✰ Through The Stars⭐☆✩ I realised there's nothing nature cannot overcome; It's so peaceful and kind. Oh you should see the night sky, You and I aren't afraid to admit it's a marvel to the eyes. You know the Moon is a splendour sight, With its different forms on every night. The countless stars in constellations brighten up the sky, They've been twinkling since the first-ever night. I see Orion with the brightest star Sirius, its never-leaving neighbour, Ah! It's the most magnificent constellation of all time. I spot Ursa Major to its opposite side, Inverted by 180 but an equally bright sight for sore eyes. A rare sight of Scorpio is available too, Reserved only for midnights and early mornings. Consider yourself lucky if you ever see it, 'Cause I've seen it and it's another star-studded beauty. Sometimes when I feel things are out of my control, And I look up at the stars in the sky, I feel a shiver run down my spine, Reminding me to leave it up to...

The Ninth Poem- Euphoria Of Love

🟉Euphoria of Love💗 There's stardust on the floor. Oh where did the magic come from? Was it you who left the trail as you walked out of the door? Yes you, Angel of Love, I've heard your secret hum.  Never have I ever imagined, That I would get to witness your magical power; So overpowering, I feel your presence on me tightly gripped; Such is your enchantment; you provide the happiest ever bower.  I am trying to probe when you made your way, Into my house, and then into my Self, Was it when I was having the happiest day? Or was it when I started looking deeper into myself? I feel your beauty all around me, My every cell, my every strand is thankful. Would I ever have been able to imagine feeling so free? This is all I have ever asked for, my heart is full.  Oh Love, you are the greatest ever feeling in the world, You are the Ultimate Law of this Universe. Thank you for unravelling to me this mystery untold, That you, Love, are the supreme power of ours.  This is so m...

The Eighth Poem- Kindred Spirits

💞 Kindred Spirits 🍀 Oh Kindred Spirits! Join me, we'll do it together. Let's have frequent visits To see how we can make this world better. Shout-out to you, my allied forces, For always trying to explore and expand; I see you wiping away your tears and bruises, As you strive to take your stand. Give your valuable inputs; Of course we'll consider others' views, But your ideas are likely to give the most beneficial outputs; They are the seeds to be sown for future blooms. You want to grab a chance to prove yourself? So be it, we will look forward to your innovations. Let them run pages together and be left on the bookshelf, Waiting to inspire the coming generations. Let's start with the small changes, We can make along our ways; Let's make acquaintances and have pleasant exchanges, The people will slowly but surely come and give us praise. My dear kindred spirits, But make sure your intentions are pure; Your ideas should befit every soul there lives, Only then ...
